Success Story — Strategic Communications at Scale. A Half-Billion Dollar Website Launch Without the Chaos

The Situation

When a multinational telecommunications conglomerate set out to launch a $500M integrated B2B digital platform, they didn’t just need developers. They needed a strategic, enterprise-wide communications plan — one that could drive clarity, cohesion, and momentum across a massive, multi-country effort.

I was brought in to lead internal communications for the 400+ person project team spanning three countries.

The result?

The launch was on time, on message, and widely adopted.

The project team was informed, aligned, and equipped to deliver.

The FIX-IT Framework in Action

FOCUS  I began by clarifying the strategy — what exactly were we trying to achieve, and why? With that foundation in place, I identified the communication gaps and pain points slowing the project down.

IDENTIFY  With over 400 developers working across multiple tracks, there were countless moving parts. The biggest opportunity? Building clear tools and protocols to keep everyone informed, aligned, and moving in the same direction.

XCELERATE  Once the strategy was clear, I moved fast — implementing high-impact communication tools to improve visibility, collaboration, and decision-making across the team.

IMPROVE  As each tool rolled out, we evaluated what was working and fine-tuned accordingly. The goal wasn’t just communication — it was adoption, utility, and continuous improvement.

TRANSITION  I handed off ownership of the tools, platforms, and protocols to the internal team, ensuring they could sustain and evolve the system. Given the scope and complexity, I remained on the project for 12 months to fully implement the FIX-IT Framework and embed lasting change.

Key Improvements

  • Strategic alignment. I partnered with senior executives and project sponsors to clearly define the project’s goals. Then, we communicated those goals broadly — via digital signage, posters, huddle meetings, and monthly status presentations — so every contributor understood the “why” behind their work.

  • Weekly scorecard. I created a unified scorecard with the PMO team to track progress across all agile workstreams. Updated weekly and shared widely, it became the single source of truth — giving the team visibility into the overall trajectory of the project.

  • SharePoint intranet hub. I built an internal SharePoint site to house all key project documents, updates, strategy decks, and scorecards. This collaborative hub became the documentation backbone of the $500M initiative.

The Results

  • 100% alignment across a large, global team of over 400 contributors

  • Streamlined communications that shaved months off the timeline

  • An on-time, successful launch — despite the team being months behind schedule when I joined

Full Speed Consulting and the FIX-IT Framework provided the strategic foundation needed to course-correct, communicate effectively, and deliver breakthrough results.
